I did try a search before I posted this, since seems like everyone has asked it.

I have taken my home movie collection, and am in the process of outputting
all the DVD's I have made in ISO format, rather than burning physical media.
I can play these on my computer with VLC.

But, I would like to find an interface box that I can connect to my TV
to play these files to try and take the "computer" out of the loop.
So far looking at the spec for various boxes, I do not see any of them
spec they can play an ISO file. Is there something out there I have missed?

The Following Mediagate players ALL play .iso dvd files , and can all be fitted with a internal hard disk , to take the computer "out of the loop".IE they operate "standalone".

MG35.MG-45.MG350HD,MG-350SHD,MG-250,MG-450HD.

Most players (inc the Mediagate line) will only play .iso files that have been de-crypted ie do not contain CSS or any other protection scheme.Such .iso files can be created using various tools available on the net.Eg DVDShrink and "Anydvd" from www.slysoft.com

The Ziova CS615 will also play DVD ISO (no CSS) quite nicely.

The Popcorn Hour will also play .iso files.
