Saw a movie at this theater last night -- looked pretty good -- wondering what projection system they're using -- anyone recognize it? What can you tell me about it? Click the link and scroll down the page....

Hmmmm....maybe they've changed to digital since those pics were taken.

They are advertising themselves as a DLP cinema;

The theater, Fairfax 5, is also listed on the DLP site...

No. I thought you may be more "interested" in this one. Alan claims to have modeled for it...

Something kind of creepy about that one -- can't quite put my finger on it.

Well.....I guess I *could* put my finger on it, but I just...don't want to.

Click the "Product Demo" link, below the PJ image. 1 minute into the demo, it gets insane.

Two questions;

1) Is this what happens when you finally get bored with human porn?

2) How long does that take?

That projector is actually a relaunch by the manufacturer, 3M

A couple of years back PJ companies got together to implement a new system of model naming, leaving abstract model numbers behind, to reconnect with the customer. It was decided that names would better reflect the machines ethos and purpose.

Barco released the "Image King" and Runco produced the "Screen Master". Both machines were very successful.

For Some reason the 3M "Anal Intruder" failed to garner the same sales despite its massive potential for market penetration.

The word "intruder" probably has too many negative connotations.

"Anal Guest" might have been better.

A "Guest" is friendly, an "intruder" is probably visiting without invitation.

Could have been worse, though.

Imagine being offered for sale, an "Anal Viking," "Anal Masticator," or, drum roll please....

an "Anal Hitler."

Yes I did. I was a little embarrassed I had just come from a swim in ice cold water:)
