I will be getting a Pro 151 and was looking to mount it on the BDI Vista 9960 stand. I know the stand can handle it from a weight stand point, but I know the mounting bars are not wide enough to attach to the rear of the tv from what Ive been told by bdi.

Has anyone mounted a 60" screen on one of these stands? I want to see if its possible to use mounting bars that will fit the rear of the tv and work with the Vista stand.

It may be possible you would have to find a mount that would integrate into its design. You also need one that wont bring out the center of gravity too far.

I have access to a full machine shop, so Im wondering if I can just make an exact copy of mounting bars but wide enough to attach to the tv?

I am finding it more and more disappointing that many high-end stand manufacturers
are providing little to no support for 60+ inch TVs. I mean, 55 inches? Give
me a break!

By the way, this was a great 60 inch stand. Very heavy-duty thick tempered glass (2 layers!):

Yes it is diappointing. The reason I liked this stand is because I need a stand that is not too wide, as i have a limited space Im trying to put this at. A stand 60" wide may not work for me

The horizontal mounting bars are the issue, which dont look too difficult to make. Can someone with a 60" Plasma tell me how long their mounting bars are so I can see how much longer they are then the included ones.
