Background:
I was given a Sony HandyCam DCR-TRV18 camcorder; unfortunately, the generous benefactor lost the Pixela software CD. An update for the software is available on Pixela's website; however, it seems the base software isn't. I called Sony - they want $29.99 plus S+H for a replacement disc. I researched a little and found there are freeware programs that will transfer video, but only for Firewire-equipped camcorders. Mine has USB 1.0.

Questions:
Is there another source for the Pixela software?
Is there shareware that will transfer video via USB 1.0?
Any other options?
