Wondering if anyone knew of a HDMI 1.3 set top box..whether it be Comcast, DirectTV or TiVo.

Thanks

There are none and won't be for a very long time.

There would be no reason; even the latest tech out of the likes of D* doesn't employ *anything* that merits going beyond HDMI 1.1 - xvYCC, Deep Color, advanced audio codecs... nothing. And it's not like it's going to hurt anything to not worry about HDMI 1.3 on an STB.

I have a Pioneer Elite VSX-94 and wanted to turn on HDMI control for the on screen display. Using my current Motorola DCH3416, when I power on it causes the receiver to switch inputs from HDMI 1 to TV/SAT (and no, I cannot rename HDMI 1 to TV/SAT) because of the 1.3 issue. That was the reason I was wondering, I know it will not be necessary anytime soon for performance reasons.

That doesn't sound like it's related to HDMI 1.1 vs. 1.3, just busted firmware; you should harass Pioneer and/or your cableco about firmware updates. I don't think the box makers are going to go retooling their lines for something like that.

You are correct, it is nothing to do with 1.3 vs 1.1, it's a problem in the HDMI implementation in the Receiver or the cable box or both. Or it is an autodetect feature in the Pioneer that is not working correctly. jayp1919 - You don't have the s-video or composite video connected as well as HDMI by any chance?
