1. Your budget. under 200

2. Size requirements/limits. not too large, currently using HTIB ht-sr600

3. Room dimensions. 15*20ish

4. Primary uses. 90% HT / 10% Music

5. Listening habits. .

6. Appearance requirements. Would prefer Black to match existing

7. Timeframe. none really.

Hey i am looking for something to replace the stock ONKYO HT-RS600 sub.
I would like something more powerful but that will not overpower the existing unit. Maybe a couple suggestions?

i also hear the ht-r340 does not have a preout to powered sub. How would i connect this?

Thanks.

I have been looking around and the top two i have seen in my price range are

BIC America Acoustech H100
and
Dayton SUB-100 or SUB-120

Any suggestions on these two?

Keep in mind, i dont have the sub out from receiver.

Thanks

You can use the subwoofer speaker level output to connect to another sub as long as the sub has speaker level (high level) inputs.

The BIC gets good reviews for a $200 sub, but the total will be somewhat more. The AV123 x-sub also has a decent following.
