Current sources, Denon 5900 w/SDI, Directv HD DVR into Lumagen VisionPro HDP, upconverting to 1080p and feeding RS2 through HDMI. Is anyone using Denon 3800BDCI for upconverting, and how does it compare to my current setup? I will do bluray soon but my audio is MC8 which can passthru the new lossless codecs without hdmi. Am I wrong to assume the Denon, with the latest chip will be better upconverting than my Lumagen?

The 3800 is actually a great player. I would not say it is quite as good as the 5900 for unconversion, but I don't think it would be too much of a change.
