I just came across a bug in the HT5000.

HDMI Input/Outputs

When I set my Axonix Media Player to 1080P24 (It uses an Nvidia 8500 GT graphics card) and also set the colorspace on the media player to YCbCr 444, the HT5000 displays the color Space as RGB.

When I set the Axonix Media Player to 1080I60 or 1080P60 and set the color Space to YCbCr 444 the HT5000 displays The Color Space properly as YCrCb. Furthermore when I run HDDVD and BluRay 1080P24 and select the color Space YCbCr 444 the HT5000 displays the correct Color Space as YCrCb.

When I run the Axonix into my Radiance XD @ 1080P24 and color Space YCbCr 444 the Radiance recognizes the Color Space as YCbCr 444....

Why are you using so many different inputs and not just running the devices directly and letting the projector do the processing, just curious.

Right now only running 2 ways to projector 1 way direct( hddvd,bluray, media server) all at 1080p24. The 2nd way is directv hddvr's through radiance xd into projector.

I prefer running the directv hddvrs through the radiance

So are you getting the color space issues running the HDDVD,BD etc direct ?

HDDVD and BLURAY that are run direct (my current setup)@ 1080P24 have the correct color space.

My Axonix Mediadeck4 when run direct to projector @ 1080P24 HAS Color Space Problem. This would be my prefered setup.


The other configurations I tried were to trouble shoot the source of the Color Space issue.

From trial and error the Radiance accepts the correct color space from the Axonix MD4, the HT5000 does not.
