I'm going to be purchasing a new sofa, and i'm wondering.. should I mount my Bass shakers so they are vertical or horizontal, or does it even matter?
I want to maximize their performance the best I can. Its a 3 seat sofa, and I have 2 bass shakers.

Horizontal worked great for me. Never tried vertical mounting.

If they are located in the correct area of the sofa or chair I don't think it matters.

What would be the correct area?

The correct area is called “trail and error” you’ll just have to experiment and note the differences between the ranges of the frequency response. Some areas may not work very well than other areas of the sofa.

With 2 shakers the ideal spots should be @ 1/3 & 2/3 for even vibration across all seats .

I've had them vertical before, and they definitely worked that way too.
