I read the entire Klegg thread on this forum. I found a post that suggested something about a Guest user in Vista... still I canot get the Klegg MediaShare Mega to list the content of share folders on my Iomega StoreCenter 1TB.
My setup:
- Iomega StoreCenter 1TB (2x500GB)
- MSM with firmware 1.1.160
- Gigabit network (works, see below)
As a test, I enabled Simple File Sharing on my laptop and that works fine. I had it disabled before and the MSM could not see the files on a shared folder. After enabling Simple File Sharing the Klegg can see the files on that folder.
Now the big question. Does anybody know how to make the StoreCenter work as if it was using Simple File Sharing? Any ideas? I tried creating different "generic" accounts like "Guest" and "Annonymous" with no password, but no luck so far. All my media in on that 1TB drive. I guess I would have to get a SATA drive and stick it in the MSM and move my media there (last resort!).
