I have seen complaints on sound cutting off and causing speakers to make a poping niose. Ive experienced this frequently on two games and those are condemned (about once every minute or so) and in half life 2 from the orange box (continuous static type noise) and some other games just every once in a while. It also does this during the ps3 first loading up. I am connected through hdmi on a 7.1 setup with a reciever capable of uncompressed sound. (denon 2807) can this issue be fixed in the setting or can you recommned what settings the be.

This sounds like an issue with the denon cutting out loud sounds. Are you setting it to bitstream or PCM?

I would recommend starting up a BD movie and inside the movie, bring up the ps3 menu (I believe it's triangle) and select the volume to go down to 0 (I think it starts out at +2) and the Denon is clipping the louder sounds. I would also switch the hdmi output from bitstream to PCM or vice versa and see if that makes a difference.

connected though hdmi, have it on pcm and the volume is set on 0. I dont think I have ever heard this noise on a blu ray or a dvd
