I am trying to setup my 6.1 in the living room. I just purchased:

(1) Boston Acoustics DSI465T2
(2) B&W CCM616

Both are ceiling mount speakers. The Boston has two tweaters so this will make a great rear speaker. The 2 B&W's will be the side speakers.

In the pics below should I put the B&W's back near the Boston or put them actually at the "sides" more towards the middle of the room?

Also included is the front of the room. Sorry for the mess =).

Have you looked at the Dolby speaker set up suggestions (http://www.dolby.com/consumer/home_entertainment/roomlayout.html). The THX layouts (http://thx.com/home/setup/speakers/index.html)are slightly different.

I would put the B&Ws at your side, 90 degrees of your couch. I can't tell how much space you have behind the couch but I would then put the BA more to the rear. Seperating the sides from the rear as much as possible.

Well this is what I ended up doing and it sounds pretty damn good. Took about 5 hours to do everything.
