I'm working on connecting my Gaming PC to my Home theater for obvious reasons, however I've run into a snag with the audio setup.
I've already setup my Video using an DVI-HDMI cable from my 8800GT.
However, my sound card (which supports 7.1 SS audio) doesn't have an optical output, and my receiver only has a optical input for Surround sound.
My sound card is a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE, and has a digital i/o jack.
Is there any way to convert the signal, or should I just reserve to buying a new sound card with an optical output? My HDTV also has a optical audio output, and I know HDMI carries Audio as well, but would this work since the HDMI would be hooked to the video card and not the sound card?
