$26k for medium throw
$31k for long throw
$9k for VP1000 outboard proc/switcher

Looks like a BenQ W20000.

The Mac or a SIM2 three chip? So very hard to decide.

Looks more like an 11S2.

Isnt McIntosh part of the same group, D&M Holdings, as Marantz?....WOW what a coincidence.

Looks like another rip-off.

As its the same company, its looking even worse than a rebadge.......Its a RECYCLE.

But people will buy it for the looks/name alone, I agree with you and I doubt mcintosh changes anything but the price.

"the MDLP1 is a derivative of Marantz’s flagship single-chip 1080p ... While the McIntosh version retains the ovoid, curved chassis of its cousin, the dark-charcoal-gray cabinet adds a distinctive richness"

What's wrong with you people? You expect that kind of distinctive richness to come for free.....??

Greg Deering posted it's a recycled Marantz VP-12S1 (not even the 2!)

So... how do you REALLY feel about it?

I think its a stunning technological achievement, eclipsed only by the restrained pricing policy that accompanies its release.

It represents a whole new vista in image quality and flexibility. Its heralds the dawn of an audio visual revolution.

Its a must buy.

Either that, or it stinks worse than the contents of my Colostomy bag, and will be about as welcome as a turd in a punch bowl.:D

Yes sport fans it is a Marantz. This is obvious if ever seen the set up menus on both units.
