Not to pinkle in your punchbowl or anything, but the 250 has been out for a year at least.

It's a ShowCenter 200 with new firmware to make it work better with UPnP servers, particularly WMP. I have one, though I don't use it that way.

It uses the long-standing EM8620L chipset. A fine player, but these days you want/need a Popcorn Hour or other NMT with the 8635.

Thanks for the info. appreciate it.
I am waiting until popcornhour fixes all their issues and comes up with SATA drive.

I don't know what they were thinking coming up with IDE drive , not to mention remote feedback.

I don't know what they were thinking coming up with IDE drive , not to mention remote feedback.Dunno why these are important to you; I have a PCH and couldn't be happier. But the thing about Media Players is: there aren't two people on planet Earth who have identical wants and needs in re: these things.

It's all still Early Adopter stuff for sure, despite that MPs have been on the market for 8-10 years, and you gotta really "wanna" a server/player system and be willing to work (fairly hard) at setting one up and maintaining it.
