I just got the SA 8300HDC box from Knology and I am noticing a problem with audio dropout. While I have found several other threads about dropouts, specifics don't jive with these other threads, hence this new thread.

In my case, the problem did not go away when switching from HDMI to component (+ digital coax audio output -- I have not tried using analog audio output and I don't really want to). The audio dropouts happen, intermittently, with both types of connectors.

The other aspect of my problem is that is ONLY while playing back shows from the DVR. In my case, all examples have been HD shows as I have not recorded any SD material yet. Furthermore, whenever the audio drops out, I can rewind and play it again and the audio will still drop out at the same place. So I believe that indicates this is clearly an issue with the 8300 as opposed to other equipment.

Anyone else had this problem? Can anyone suggest any settings that might help matters?
