What was wrong with that release? And I just finally got around to ordering my replacement for T3, lol.

Sorry for the OT.
Some people who purchased the Blu-ray got the HD-DVD in their case.

I was referring to the films themselves not the extras. People who care about extras or the Animatrix of course should buy the BD set. I personally love the movies and hate Animatrix. YMMV ;)

If Warner sold The Animatrix HD separately from the box set, I would get it. The Second Renaissance, Parts I and II alone is worth it. Some of the other shorts of The Animatrix are really crappy, and Final Flight of the Osiris is massively overrated, but there are a few gems in the collection.

I completely forgot I ordered the UK box too, I just got a shipping notice.:o
I know the encodes will be the same, I wonder what the chances are the frame thing is fixed? Probably not good.

Whoa nice exchange rate I got the Trilogy for $23 shipped.:D:confused: But I had the ultimate box already, arrghh. Animatrix is wicked awesome though.

I have received the UK set. Plays OK on my US Panasonic BD30.

FWIW, the serial numbers on the inside ring of the Revolutions disc are:

A0100994314-A911
A0100994314-B911

The glitch is still there.

Thanks Grubert, so it's officially official. Warner makes one encode(pressing too?) for the world. Too bad the glitch is there.

BTW - how do the extras play? Are they NTSC?

The encode and pressing seem to be the same, FBI warning included.

The Germany and Spain editions will be different.

Yep, none are 576i/p.

Warner sometimes makes one disc for the entire "world", sometimes they dont.

Just check what audio tracks and subtitles and you know what countries gonna use this reelase.

Anyone here have the Korean trilogy box set? I assumed it's probably the exact same pressing that the US/UK have... although considerably cheaper at around about USD$60.

If so, it'll probably have the glitch, so any news on a fix for it via a firmware update or a replacement since it was first discovered? Anyone tried theirs recently?

Of all people, Keanu Reeves articulates very well what makes the original Matrix such a great film:

Amazon is taking preorders for the Original Matix Blu-ray for $26.49 to be released in late March, 2009.

See http://www.thehdroom.com/news/The_Matrix_10th_Anniversary_Beams_onto_Blu-ray/3990 as cited by Xylon in the coming releases thread.

Me too. I'm completely happy with my HD DVD set, except for the SD-quality of Animatrix.

Just bought this set and it seems that it wont play dolby truehd. The Dodly TrueHD logo wont come on, on my avr. It will play in all other dolby formats but not this one. These are the only three disc that are having the problem. Does anyone have an idea of what this could be.

you are making sure to switch the audio to truehd after the disc starts right?

My avr automatically changes it to true hd or dts master if the disc has it. Is there an audio setting on the disc that gets changed?

AmishFury

yes... bring up the menu find the audio menu and select truehd

most warner discs default to regular DD

I was wondering if anyone else had a problem with their copy of Reloaded from the Ultimate set. I bought mine about two months ago from Amazon.com and just got around to watching it the other night. At around the 51 minute mark when Agent Smith approaches Neo in the park the movie freezes and then jumps several seconds. I tried playing the scene several times and the error occurs every time. Is there a possibility of a replacement disc?

For what it's worth, I use an Oppo BDP-93 player.

Funny, I just watched this last week I've had my Ultimate set since the Red2Blu Warner promotion started years ago. No problems on LG BH-200.

Nope, never had any freezes here, either. LG BD-390.
