After many years of working flawlessly, my Toshiba 65HDX82 went "crazy" yesterday. The red lens completely shifted and the colors on the TV are now way out of wack.
I went into the service menu to do a convergence, but the red lines are way off and are drastically curved on both ends. I tried adjusting them, but the lines will not shift left or right. They will shift up and down. The red and blue lenses are still perfectly alligned and the convergence adjusts as it should.
Is this some type of board issue? Is this problem easily fixed by swapping out a part? It is an older TV, so I don't want to pump a bunch of money into it, but on the other hand, I wasn't planning to buy a new TV right now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
