My in-laws in Sydney are looking to buy a Plasma. I'm in the U.S. and my last purchase was a Panny 50" in 2005, so I'm not clear how to advise them. They are looking at two Panasonic's, both for AUD$2699 (I would guess at Harvey Norman's or Dick Smith's):

TH50PZ700A (50")
TH46PZ800A (46")

I'd appreciate any guidance on recommended models, pricing and vendors in Australia.

Thanks for the link - I've sent them off to find the best deal on a 50" pz800, which should be close the price they were quoted for the 46". Now I've just got to figure out the Australian DVR options...
