The room my TV will go in is a daylight basement (windows are at ground level). The room is 13' x 18'. I pre-wired for 7.1 surround sound. The side channels are at 11' from the front wall. The room is fairly bright during the day. There are 2 windows in the room in the back-right corner. We have wood blinds on them which blocks out most of the sunlight.
I plan on watching Football, movies (standard DVD), some TV, and video from a computer.
I am not sure what the source will be yet. It may be DirecTV since they carry the NFL Sunday ticket, but I might also go with a local digital cable or Dish Network depending on what kind of deal I can get and if the subscription comes with an HD Reciever and HD DVR.
I am considering 2 TVs from a local retailer that are the same price.
One is a Samsung HL67A510C 67" 1080p DLP. It comes with the stand too.
The other is a Toshiba 52" 1080p LCD. I am not positive, but I believe the model is 52HL167. I would need to purchase a wall mount for this.
What is the pro/con of each of these?
