Att offers dishnetwork for are area. I have been on and off the phone with ATT Dishnetwork like 5 times. Looking at getting the American Top 100 + a HD package. The problem is no one can tell me what channels come with the HD essential, and the HD ultimate. They all just know the number of channels they come with. Can anyone help me out on this issue.

Work directly with Dish Network and avoid the AT&T partnership if you can. Not only have at&t/Dish customers not always been able to take advantage of many of Dish Network's deals down the road, but I think that at&t and Dish have recently had a falling out and going to cease their partership soon.

thanks for the info. What packages would you suggest going with dishnetwork?

Really that is your call. They do have a lot of packages to choose from. The HD only packages that they are coming out with a nice since they are cheap, but give you a lot of HD. Alot of people find that that they only watch the HD channels after a while, so there is some value to those HD only packages.

Also look for the channels that you actually watch. I like the Speed channel, so the package that contains it would be my minimum programming package. After that things are harder to justify. I will say that Dish is supposed to add a boatload of HBO HD channels on Wednesday. So if you are into HBO, it will be worth it even more starting then.

I really like the HD only thing. And will they down grade to HD to sd for my other tv?

What they usually do is provide a dual tuner receiver with two outputs. They output HD for tuner1 to your HDTV (via HDMI or Component) and then use Coax to run the output of Tuner2 to a SD TV somewhere else in the house.

All of their HD receivers output SD if needed, so all your TVs would get a signal even if they are SD.
