Hi everyone, I am in the military and will be going to AT in 2weeks and will make 2k from that, plus I'm about to get my refund checks from my school so thats another 3k. I wanted to wait to buy this equipment but the speakers I want (the JBL Venue series) is selling out fast and have been phased out. I am looking to buy 2 floor standing towers for the fronts, a front channel, sub, 2 wall mounts(until I move then they'll be replaced by the 2 towers), and a new reciever. This is the system I was thinking of

JBL Venue Stadium 8in tower (2)
Voice center channel
Monitor surrounds (2)
12in 500w sub
Onkyo tx sr805 or 705

My questions are, is those speakers from JBL better then maybe similar priced ones from polk audio, etc? Also, is it worth the extra money to get the 805 over the 705? (I know that the 805 puts out more power per channel) Lastly, should I purchase an amp, if so what kind?
