Has anyone reported any issues playing Batman Begins on the BDP300? I have a friend whose player constantly shuts off right at the 28:13 minute mark during the movie, and it has happened on all 4 discs he has exchanged. Any idea how to fix this?

If you want to help him you should provide information like current firmware he is using. Also, a search in the Sony 300 master thread I came across this post

I bet you did some additional legwork..you'd fine he doesn't have the current firmware and there has been a fix through a Sony firmware update. That should always be step one in solving a HDM player problem..."have they updated to the latest firmware"?

The day I purchased Batman Begins on Blu-ray I too brought it home and had that problem as well. My problem was that as soon as the WB trailer started my BDP-S300 would power off and restart every single time. As soon as I downloaded the firmware update from Sony dated 6/20/08. And updated the firmware Batman Begins has played flawlessly and I have had zero problems since. After that update the menu's on the discs have actually worked better.
