Everything hardware wise except for the ECA??

Reason I ask is I lov my old X3 but I need spare parts and I see X2's all over the place.:)

If you are asking about the Light Tunnel and Color Wheel, they are the same. Just keep in mind, you are buying used gear that could fail anytime. And what will fail are the pieces you are buying them for.

You'll need the main board and the optical engine. I've taken them completely apart many times, so it's no big deal for me. Just exercise extreme caution with the color wheel. It is very fragile. Note the orientation of the ribbon cable from the color wheel to the main board. It can be inserted backwards and won't work and you won't realize it until you've put it all back together.

It would make senses the the optical engines would be different as well.

my X3 was working fine,I just had a lot of hours and on my 3rd bulb.

Now it does look more crisp!:D

The color wheel out of the refurb unit is starting to squeal:eek:

well it only squealed at boot up two different times for a brief moment, but all has been quite every since
guess I just wait it out
