I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a Panasonic AX-200U and I've been looking into ceiling mounts. I've been recommended both Chief and Peerless. Should I really expect to pay about $200 for both the mount and the ceiling plate? Are there any kits out there that include both but might not be as expensive?

You can get the universal Chief mount on Amazon for around $130 and then just get a threaded flange for the ceiling mount (you may have to paint it if it's going to be exposed) and double sided 1.5" NPT "nipple" pipe for the extension at Lowes (around $10 total) and you would be all set. That is what I did and am extremely happy with mine.
