Hey guys I bought a replacement bulb for my optoma hd70 projector about 6 months ago and the thing just blew with about 500 hours on it. Is there anyway someone can give me and idea on how to find out the manufacturers warranty and how to get this replaced?

Manufacturer warranty is 90 days.
How often are you turning your PJ on and off?

You just hit the issue that frustrates pj users the most. A bulb may last 3000+ hours or only 500 hours depending on your luck.

Thats why I got the 3 year bulb replacement program with mine. $100 bucks well spent.

Does it cover normal usage? Say if you runs your pj 8 to 10 hours a day and the bulb reaches normal end of life in under one year is it covered?

From my understanding yes, it is.
Manufacturer warranty is 90 days.
How often are you turning your PJ on and off?
I'd say once of twice a day.
Weird though, it was on bright mode so i put it on normal and it hasnt acted up since.

So the bulb that 'just blew' is working fine now?
it didnt blow it was flashing all kinds of colors like my 1st bulb that blew did.
