Hey all, I know there have been in depth posts regarding this issue, but I'm seriously ready to throw my computer against the wall. I am running a new HP Pavillion with i think its a smartaudio sound card? I have windows vista, but im gonna try a computer with XP instead since I can't adjust my WAVE volumes. I have version 4 and intend to use it to measure SPL in vehicles from subwoofers. I purchased what I thought was a good mic, but there is no brand name on it. its a little black box with 2 suction cups on it that gets attached to the windshield. I called trueaudio.com and she said that the program shouldnt need to be calibrated, but when I had the mic connected to the computer in my living room, i was reading 90 db SPL. So something needs to be adjusted. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!
