Hey i'm new here!

I'm moving into an average sized apartment, and looking to purchase a mediocre home theater system. Not looking for anything top of the line, but I want to move out of the "box systems."

I listen to a lot of music, and I am kind of on the fence of buying a pair of tower speakers, or a satellite set.

I've been looking at the Klipsch Synergy Quintet 3 speakers.

I already own a Sony SA W3800 sub. I realize its a cheaper and lower quality speaker, but it actually sounds fairly decent. I'm going to stick with it for the time being anyways. I found it on sale at Amazon.com for $140

I'd appreciate any advice!!

thanks!
Neil

Well, your links aren't links.

Budget? Do you want some sort of affirmation of your speaker and receiver choices? Would you be willing to buy your system piecemeal? What do you currently use for speakers?

some necessary questions requiring answers:
What is the room size?
What do you listen to, Movies Music Games, give percentages.
What is your budget?
How many speakers do you want? Obviously you have a sub so do you want
2.1, 3.1, 5.1, 7.1?

For Music, floorstanders will generally provide better low frequency response
but be more expensive than Bookshelves which may require stands in your
situation. For music with nice floorstanders you may want to forgo the use of
the sub because you are in an apartment.

Go back and edit your links by clicking on the little earth with a chain link on it,
it will prompt you for the text to display and the url.

Your budget looks to be $800 by the equipment you've chosen, for that
might I suggest an Onkyo TX-SR506 from shoponkyo.com for ~199 refurb
and any one of the many speakers from ascend, aperion, av123, polk, jbl,
athena, energy, mirage, BIC, HSU, SVS, Infinity, HTD, and many more....
Also, in your budget I'd suggest starting with buying 2 speakers and adding
more as budget permits.
