I've followed the directions, but get a file that is 37.1 MB (38,952,338 bytes) after unzipping. The player recognizes it as a data disk and will do nothing to install. Suggestions?

Nukem 07-30-08, 07:59 PM Data disk? Did you try and put the file on a USB drive instead of a cd? I would have but I don't have one. I burned the disk as an ISO, was this the right way to do it? Foxbat121 07-30-08, 08:06 PM No. You're suppose to put the file directly to USB or CD without unzip it, IIRC. Nukem 07-30-08, 08:43 PM No. You're suppose to put the file directly to USB or CD without unzip it, IIRC. In the firmware thread it says: Instructions: 1. Unzip the file LG_BH_LV221BH_0620A.zip - The file you need to transfer to a CD/DVD/USB Stick is called LG_BH_LV221BH.ROM. 2. Follow the instructions provided in Update Guide for BH200.pdf muzz 07-30-08, 09:34 PM I unzipped the file, and just copied the XXXXXXX221BH.rom file to the usb drive myself. I did not change the format- just copied that 1 file. Maybe try to just burn it as it stands instead of as an ISO ? Foxbat121 07-30-08, 10:13 PM It's definitely not an ISO image file. You just need to put the file on the disc. Nukem 07-30-08, 10:48 PM It's definitely not an ISO image file. You just need to put the file on the disc. You guys are right! I just tried and it worked. Thanks. bradavon 07-31-08, 08:49 AM What firmware did you download? The June firmware is:38,970,096 bytes. No. You're suppose to put the file directly to USB or CD without unzip it, IIRC. You need to unzip it. It's a ROM data file, no ISO file. If you've copied anything other than the ROM file to the "root" of the drive, you've done it wrong :). Are you able to copy it to a USB Stick? If not follow these instructions: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showpost.php?p=13503009&postcount=84 It's instructions for the SD DVD Multiregion hack but parts of it also apply to the firmware too. |
