Sorry, don't have the exact model (my parents set)

It's a 55" sony RP HD set, about 4+ years old, 1 hdmi input.

Recently, there is a constant purple tint in the center of the screen, surrounded by a yellow tint. In the lower right hand corner, there is a dark purple tint. This is constant and on all inputs?

Time for a bulb?

That sounds like a Optical Block issue. Needless to say, it would help greatly if you had the product number.
