I'm looking for an LED DLP set, hopefully between 1000-2000 dollars. Right now I own a 47 inch 720p Samsung RP unit. So I could handle anything 42 inches or higher probably. Is that reasonable or do I need to change my expectations?

I'm going to be feeding it Blu Rays (via a ps3 along with gaming on the ps3) and gaming on the xbox 360 mostly. I don't watch TV and i don't have cable and I don't plan on getting it. I don't know if any of that is important.

Please just educate me a bit about the units and recommend some. Thanks.

In that price and size range your best bet may be to look for a HL-T5087. It's last year's model but can still be found in stores, often at clearance prices. Look at the owner's thread for information.

You can get a 61" 2008 LED Samsung DLP HL61A750 display for under well $2000 in most online stores. Just do a google search for thie model number.

Yeah, the 61A750 is the TV to go with, and its this years model, and has definitely improved on last years IMO. No sense in going smaller.
