Just wondering how many of you use Netflix and receive Blu-Ray titles?? I have been a subscriber for about 9 months now and am really starting to hate Netflix and was wondering If I was alone in the matter.
It is not the selection, speed of shipping or price that is getting to me. It is simply, availability. It is terrible. The following titles have been in my queue since BEFORE their release date, yet I anxiously await them to be shipped time after time to no avail:
1. jumper
2. doomsday
3. Harold a Kumar Guantanamo bay
4. Never back down
5. 21
6. 10,000 BC
7. Vantage Point
8. Nim's Island
9. Bank Job

I even have tried to ship all four of my movies back strategically for the last few weeks on Thursday and Friday(They receive my movies the next day) to get the new release first and it still doesn't work.
Does anyone else have this problem, or does anyone have any tips on improving my luck?? I receive movies from the Panama City branch....

I know what you mean. I've have pretty much the same list of BD movies in my queue as well. I finally got Cloverfield this past weekend. Only took over two months!

Yeah it's really nothing new. Even with some DVDs the most popular ones can sometimes take weeks to get. I had Cloverfield as my #1 Blu-ray request for over a month until I finally was able to just buy it cheaply. I think it is still "Very Long Wait" on Netflix. Although I'm not sure since I removed it already.

My netflix rentals have slowed in the past few weeks, but I have gotten most of them fairly quickly. Over the last month, I have received I am legend, ps I love you, assassination of jesses james, vantage point, Into the Wild and the other boleyn girl. 21 was shipped today with no wait. All of these were blu ray and did not have any wait time.

I think Netflix still may throttle. When I was receiving 4-6 a week, I had to wait longer periods of time for new releases

All BD titles are considered "new releases" by Netflix. As such, if all your rentals are new releases, you will get throttled and new releases will not be sent to you. Cancel your account and open a new one with a different CC and mailing address, then all those titles will magically become available and ship immediately. Also good to note that Netflix limits the numbers of BD titles that it stocks, making them harder to get.
