I'm too lazy to go the DIY route, so I'd like to know how effective these Auralex traps are:

They seem easy enough to apply. All I know is that I need some kind of bass treatment---I'm running Mackie HR824s in a considerably small environment (12x12).

Thanks to Kal for linking to the comparative data on my company's site. The Mackie 824s are excellent speakers with a response down to below 40 Hz, and you have a square room. :D
