hey everyone
im on a fairly tight budget, im lookin at getting around 2000 dollars from my tax return and im looking at buying a projector.. i can either get a benQ w500 for about 900 dollars or a panasonic ptax200u for about 1400-1500

im going to be running a playstation 3 through it with HDMI and the money i have left over will go towards a screen (most likely DIY) and a 5.1 surrond sound... i have read review

ive roughly calculated il be able to get the same image size from both projectors.. with it very slightly brighter with the panasonic,..

Well the panasonic is a better projector. Brigher, better black levels, less screen door effect, bigger zoom. The Benq is not a bad projector at all though and has a top of the line upscaler for regular DVDs. I would head over to www.projectorreviews.com and read the reviews.
