Got a good deal from them and got a HD dvr coming on the 22nd. I was wondering if they are just using the black H-21 dvr or if I should continue to worry they are going to try to give me an old H-20 Dvr?

It will most likely be an HR-21. They will likely install the Slimline dish if you haven't had that dish installed. If you get locals via OTA then you will need an AM-21 which you can get for little to no cost. Hope this helps.

Got the slim a while back, and I have no problem using my tv tuner for a few months till the get the local hd's on there programing. Thanks for the response.

You may still want to think about the AM21 if you want to record any of your local subchannels, as DirecTV isn't picking those up as far as I know. In my area The CW is a subchannel of the ABC channel, so I'm not counting on DirecTV picking it up.
