Why, since RP lamps are a conumer replaceable item, are they NOT sold in consumer accessable stores, only through online stores. It would be nice to just hop in the car, drive over to BB,CC, or wherever and bring one home, not wait for a few days for it to arrive. Just sayin':D

On one hand, the store would have to keep unique stock for almost every TV that they've sold in the last few years since even model to model vendors often use different bulbs. And these bulbs last about 2 years (depend on usage of course), so there won't be much turnover.
On the other hand, the store could charge a TON of money for these bulbs - at least $100-200 more than online stores.
I agree it sure would be convenient.

For the price they would charge to stock these items - along with taxes, you should just pay for FedEx Overnight from the online providers and it would probably be cheaper and only about 12 hours longer.
Furthermore, the rotation of inventory would surely be better.
