I remember once upon a time that the "Legend - Robin of Sherwood" series out of Britain in the early 80's was going to be available in high def someday. I filed it away in the back of my memory to check on later. It seems like that was around Christmas last year. I figured it was time to check on it, but now I can't find anything about it. There was speculation about HDNet and HD-DVD/BluRay. (Hey - HD-DVD wasn't dead yet)
Anybody heard anything?
(Yeah, I tried searching - no luck. Maybe the brain is shot and I imagined the whole thing - wishful thinking:D)

I suppose you're talking about THIS (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086791/) series? Interesting. I never heard of it, but I think I'll have to check it out now.

Yeah, that's the one.
Back then, in my college days, the series struck me as more appropriate for that time in the woods of rural England. Mythology. Christianity not really dominant in the countryside. No sidekick strumming away and singing. The way the nicknames of some of the characters (esp. Will Scarlet)were earned were more interesting.
I taped most of the shows on Beta:rolleyes:, so I lost them when the machine gave out. I was so happy to find a few VHS tapes (3 episodes). Years later, imported some DVD's from Britain (made for US market). Unfortunately, the video, and especially the audio, were not much better than VHS.
Think I was following a thread somewhere about Torchwood, and somebody mentioned that RoS was one of a few old series that were on good enough video/film to go to HD, and that somebody was planning on doing it.
Maybe next year.
