Hello All,

We are planning to finish our basement of 750sft with a possible media room, a mini bar and an office/den. Basement is L-shaped with 28' W 38' L and 7'Ht. The problem that we have is the stairs, it is located right in the middle of the basement and the furnace is located along 38' side wall in the center of the room causing me to rethink about an ideal space for my media room. The basement is in unfinished state with walls insulated. I will upload my basement layout tomorrow and I need advice on the design and recommend innovative ideas.

Also, for the media room, I am thinking about a projector and the best coordinating components that goes well for a media room. I'm on a tight budget with a possible split of 20K for basement and 3-4K for the Media room. Request all gurus to advise me on the best possible media gear that I could get for that budget. Appreciate your help/recommendations.

Can you post a drawing of the room with the stairs, furnace, etc. to give us a better idea of what you are dealing with?

PS: the design is my vision after the finish. As of today it is just 4 concrete walls with insulation done.

Folks, please help me. I saw so many responses on other threads for people needing help and thought I could get the same response....please help with ideas and suggestions.

Take some actual photo's of the space put them on photobucket and imbed them into your thread. we then can really get a feel for the space
