I know that this is asked every day, but I wanted to hear from some people that are undoubtedly much more knowledgable than me. Here's my current system. Onkyo 605, Rocket 450's, Bigfoot and ELT 525m's for surrounds. My current sub is a ELT SW10SE(350w 10" sub, freq response 28-150hz). I feel that my sub is obviously lacking quit a bit. The HT is in my basement. It's not too big of a room, probably 12x20(most of the room is still storage). I'm obviously looking for something that's gonna sound better. The two subs I'm looking at are the MFW-15 and the ED A2-300. I know that they are pretty much different class subs. I was looking at the b-stock MFW which would bring the price down to about $525 after shipping vs. $315 for the ED. So I'm kinda wondering if the MFW is gonna be worth the extra $200? I'm not looking for house shaking bass, just something that's gonna be a noticable bit better. I don't want to spend the money for nothing, lol. I figure I could eventually spend more money to add a second A2-300 if I wanted. So one for now, maybe two in the future A2's vs. one MFW? Will I be upgrading my sub situation enough just going with one A2-300 for now? Thanks.

Get the single MFW, then get another down the road if you still want more output.

Hmmm, that wasn't really what I was saying. I was saying that I could get two A2's down the road. To kinda equal the MFW(if that's possible). So I was wondering if 1 A2 would suffice for now. Or is the MFW really worth the over $200 difference? I'm sure it's fantastic, but it's just really big(size and weight) and more money. What I was thinking is that if I wanted to down the road I could add another A2. Or would I just be better off getting the MFW, spending the extra dough and breaking my back putting it in my basement in the process?

Look at the Epik Knight if you are trying to save cost?? $599 + shipping . Less than the MFW performance should be close. Cheaper than A2-300. But A2-300 maybe enough for your needs....at first. You will want 2. Your room is decent size I would get the best sub you could afford. that way you have room for more if needed. My 12x21 room has 2 Svs Pb10 which I need more. For some it's enough. Just depend on what you want. No one can decide but you.But imo better to break your wallet and back the first time. It's actually cheaper in the long run. JME
