Thought I would get a discussion going, looks interesting. I wonder how good the scaler is for the price.

Did I miss something, or is there no mention of the chip tech behind this unit? Price looks aggressive.

Nah, you didn't miss it ... and I'm wondering the same thing.

We can't even guess, since there's no indication of its features beyond the fact it can deinterlace and scale.

All it says is Analog Devices....

Did I miss something or the manual does not indicate anything about 1080p24 support. Wonder how it will deinterlace 1080i signals.

the chip-set used in the Atlona AT-LINE-EX is Analog Devices ADV7441A

I will give this company the benefit of the doubt and wait for some expert reviews. But without reviews why would anyone consider this product if they can get a DVDO edge for just a little more, or maybe a used lumagen HDP. Just thinking out loud here.
