I ONLY have Sunday Ticket for my DTV programming - nothing else (they don't allow this anymore for new subscribers, but I was grandfathered in - so in other words I only have DTV programming from September to December and only get the NFL channels during that time).
Is there any reason I cannot use my single LNB dish if its realigned and pointed at the correct satellite (their new mpeg4 satellite)? Will the Sunday Ticket HD broadcasts in mpeg4 be coming from a single satellite?
I ONLY want it on ONE TV, and don't want a DVR, so I should only need a single line running in from the dish as far as I know.
I can pick up a first generation H20 on ebay for ~$100, with a B-Band converter, reaim the dish and I'm wondering if that would work? (I may need to buy new coax as well, not sure).
Again, I realize I will not get other channels - I ONLY want Sunday Ticket.
The reason I'm doing this is, they offered me a 'free' upgrade to the new equipment, etc., but it requires a 2 year committment - and since I only have programming during football season, they said they'd still do it, with a 6 year committment (6x4=24 months or 2 years). I don't want to do that if I don't have to.
