I'm trying to install a 52XBR4 into a TV cabinet that won't fit it. I talked to some guys today and they said I could install a cantilever mount into the back of the cabinet. I'm looking at getting this one (http://omnimount.com/consumer/product.aspx?ProductId=1cb677fc-879d-40ce-a1c9-cde15c17b785&CurrentId=2.3.3.6) which is 28 inches when stretched (my cabinet is 24 inches in depth).

My problem isn't setting it up, but if the mount is going to be almost fully extended with 95 pounds on the other end, and it's to be there for at least 5 years, will this be safe? I'm just afraid an year or two down the line, the entire mount will snap and the tv will come crashing down.

Any advice?

The mount is rated at 200lbs, I think it should work fine for your purposes as long as it's anchored securely to the wall (or the cabinet is reinforced to handle the weight). Try the install sections for further help, this area is really for HD reception hardware...

Okay. There are so many different forums, I must have missed the installation one. Thanks for the help ^^

No problem, try the Home Entertainment & Theater Builder section or the Flat Panel LCD section.
