What is the best non-premium HD movie channel? Is it Universal HD or maybe MGM HD?
Which ones play movies with limited inturuptions? Which ones play movies in strech-o-vision? What is the good and the bad of non-premium movie channels? Which ones offer the best HD picture? Which ones have logos that are distracting?

Which ones have logos that are distracting?Universal HD (http://www.universalhd.com/) plays movies, but I don't consider it a movie channel. I watch only old series (http://www.universalhd.com/Series/) on it (Kidnapped, South Beach, etc.). The movies have commercial breaks, and I'm pretty sure that some are edited for content. There is an animated channel bug that is in color when the program resumes, but the color disappears after a few seconds. As far as I know, Universal HD never does stretch-o-vision, but I can't promise you that all movies are original aspect ratio; I haven't watched enough to notice.
MGM HD (http://www.mgmhd.com/) is an excellent movie channel. No ads during films. An interesting selection of films if you're not looking for the latest blockbuster. There is a large but not particularly bold logo on-screen at all times. Movies are shown in the original aspect ratio.
HDNet Movies (http://www.hdnetmovies.com/) is another excellent channel. Again, not the latest blockbusters, but a great mix (http://www.hd.net/movies_schedule_by_title.html) of classics, old favorites, foreign films, and Magnolia Pictures originals (http://www.hdnetmovies.com/movies_sneakpreviews.html), all in their original aspect ratio. There is a fairly subtle HDNet Movies script (logo) that pops up occasionally.
