Ive been researching a sub for the last two weeks on here and hometheatreshack and I cant seem to make a decision.

First the facts - the room is 11 x 11 x 8. Small room with two windows and laminate floor. One door and thats it.

The system it will be running on is an Sharp Aquos 46 lcd, onkyo 606, polk csi3 center, and 4 polk rs50 towers.

Now with the room being so small I dont have that many choices to choose from in terms of where i can put the sub, so size plays a part in the decision.

Now if you where in my situation or are in it, first what size sub would you go for a 10 or 12 incher? Budget is $600 max (shipped with tax).

I will be moving in the future to a new place, so its also going to have to work for a bigger room as well (but it wont be much bigger though).

Everyone on here raves about ED, SVS, HSU, EPIK, JL (EPIK and JL are out of the question though, too big and too much money)

Ive narrowed it down to the following :

ED - A3-300 with 13ov.2 woofer (i love instant gratification, so waiting around for this to be made is kind of hurting its chance, unless its worth it over the others)
HSU - VTF1
HSU - VTF2 - mk3 (satin black to keep me under $600 or close to it)
SVS - PB12 nsd (i know this will go over $600, im a tiny bit flexible :) )

Any other suggestions, and if you choose one over the other above, why? Are any of the above complete over kill for my situation, always heard better to have more than less.

If your willing to go with the VTF2, then just eliminate the VTF1. Otherwise, all good choices for your budget. If your willing to go with a cylinder, then also include the SVS PCi 20-39. Most people don't like the look, but I do. It makes a better conversation piece than a plain old black box.

Is there any disadvantage to using a cylinder. I dont mind the look, and that would drastically reduce the foot print.,

Ok ive narrowed it down at this point to the EA subs.
Is the A3-300 worth the extra $200? I see they both go down to 18khz(claimed), and they both are 12 inch subs. Only differences i see are the size of the enclosure, and the amps (100 watts more on the a3-300).
