I just signed up with Dish Network. I'll be installing a 722 DVR on TV1 and a 625 DVR on TV2. I wanted both TV's to have independent recording to avoid conflicts, we record lots of shows :).

I was also thinking, where both receivers are multi room, I could also set this up so I can still share the recorded content to both TV's.

My thought were have separate LNB inputs to each DVR. Then add an interconnect cable between the 2 TVs so I can still share access between the DVR's, each can access the other. Kinda giving me 4 tuners to play with?

Am I off base here? Maybe I would need two separate interconnect cables to accomplish this? Was hoping someone could help me iron out the details.

Installer coming next Friday and wanted to get prepared.

TIA,
Dave

You would need 2 cables:

1. One would go from the 722 to TV2
2. The other would go from the 625 to TV1

Thanks for the info. I'm pulling the phone line and cable for TV2 today, so I'll pull two cables along with the phone line :).

Another thing to note is that both TV1 and TV2 will need multiple inputs:

TV1: HDMI or Component for 722 (to get HD) and Coax (analog) for 625 input

TV2: Composite or S-Video for 625 and Coax for 722

Thanks again Ted.

I checked out the inputs, have both composite and video for the SD set getting the 625. The HD set has lots of inputs, so covered there too :).

Hoping the Dish service is worth it after spending the day running wire through my hot attic. Figured I'd try them after getting tired of dealing with Comcast.

I am pretty pleased. Cable here is TWC and Navigator is the Devil's own spawn as far as I am concerned. I really like the DISH DVRs after that. Still not quite a simple as Tivo in my book, but pretty good over all.
