Hi,i'm running an onkyo sr-805 receiver with two paradigm ps-1000 subs.During the speaker setup using audyssey multeq xt i noticed a second or two delay between my front sub and the other at the back of the room when the sub test tone comes up.Does anyone out there have any ideas on whats causing this and it's remedy, all replys are much appreciated ,thanks.

How are the subs hooked up?

It may be related to the "Auto-on" circuit. Try playing some bass heavy material before you run Audyssey to ensure that both subs are already "On".

A SECOND OR TWO:eek: That is a LOOOONG delay. I really don't think the time is anywhere near that long. Exactly how are they wired up?

If the delay is just with the initial sound, then Craig is probably correct. If it is all the time, then the second sub must be connected with a 372,000 mile cable.

Hello again and thanks for all the replys so far. Here is some more info:the subs are paradigm ps-1000 version 3 in front on a 12 ft cable and a version 1on a 40 ft cable at the back of the room. The cable to the front sub is a Phoenix Gold sub cable, the one to the rear sub is Rg 6 w/Rca connectors on both ends. For both subs, i'm connecting to them with a Y adapter and both cables run into the back of the Onkyo with another Y connector.I haven't tried any music or movies yet, just the test tones with the 805.Thanks.

I was kidding about the cable length. I don't really believe you have a 372,000 mile cable. This is about how long it would have to be to induce a 2 second delay.

Try what Craig suggested and have both subs in the ready mode, not in the stand by mode, then try your test tones again.
