So i am not getting any support from DataColor. I emailed Customer support about the loss of my SpyderTV software and drivers disk. The response was;

"Due to the high volume of software piracy; DataColor requires a copy of proof of
purchase from an authorized reseller for serial number replacement. Please attach it
to this ticket or fax to 609-895-8110."

I guess it has a serial number on the software disk sleeve. Kinda silly seems I CANT FIND THE DISK!!!! Nice way of getting out of helping a customer.

So wonderful. I don't have a copy of the receipt because the Spyder was given to me as a gift. I told them to look it up under the name of the person whom bought it and still no response. No go. Got nada... Dead silence in my In-Box. I tried explaining the situation to the CS Rep. and no response. So what now? Anyone have any suggestions? Too bad I haven't talked to the person that gave it to me in at least a year. Be kinda uncomfortable to call just to ask about a old gift they bought me. "how are you, been doing well? Truth is I don't really care, I just need a receipt that you probably don't have anyway". Any how you all get the point.

Thanks all.

LOL I asked the CS Rep. If that # was it and his response was: "Your software serial number is located on the sleeve of your CD.
Regards," LOL I will try to send him that # and see what his next response will be.

Hello.

Be warned.... messing with the registry can mess up your computer....

Be warned.... messing with the registry can mess up your computer....

I think twice is enough....

That said....

You're just gonna search, not make any changes. There are two ways to get it, one by having the computer find it and the other by getting to it on your own. here's the search method....

HIT 'Start", then "run"..

type "regedit" (without the quotes of course)... and hit "OK"

hit "F3" to search

type "Program.SerialNumber" exactly as this without the quotes

Click "Find Next"... It may take a minute or two, but you should see the number now.....

It worked for me

Good Luck and post back...

After reading your post again, I guess the above may not be helpful.....

I assumed that your registry got corrupted or perhaps you had a computer go bad on you and you needed the number for the new computer.....

Good Luck

Well I got Colorvision to finally give me another copy of the cd/dvd software. I never got upset or showed signs of aggravation. I took the approach "please HELP, you are my only hope". The rep was just a bit short in his emails. He also was very inconsistent in the trimming of his resonances. One day he was all over the send button and the next day nothing. Over the course of a week and a bunch of back and forth chats he offered to accept a photo of my equipment as proof of purchase. I guess all along he might of thought I had never even purchased the equipment but maybe just wanted the software for free. IDK. We will see what happens. I will keep you all posted on the outcome.
