I have used a few Carlon adjustable boxes in my third row bar and wonder if they may vibrate when I get the bass going strong. The boxes are not firmly attached rather "ride" in the little channel that attaches to the wall. Will the wall plate sufficiently prevent this?

I was thinking about either caulking or gluing as I will have access to the back of the box after the surface material has been applied (as this is a bar, not a wall).

Since most people who use them in a theater also puddy pad and/or caulk them, they don't rattle. I would imagine the force of the cable going into the box would also prevent most rattling.

Caulk it either way for peace of mind!

I caulked mine after they were in their final position. The adjustment is mainly to make accommodations for the second layer of drywall.

One related thought. I put insulation in my bar cavities to keep it from resonating.

Yeah, I mentioned that to my dentist too. He just looked at me with a blank stare... :p
