I'm going to buying a flat screen television within the next few months. Not sure which model yet because of all the new Sonys and Samsungs coming out, but we'll see. Anyway, I do know the size will be 52"-55". I do not want to mount the television. I want a classy, modern looking glass flat screen stand. Here is an example of what I do like:

But it just isn't exactly what I'm looking for. The style is good, but the shape isn't doing it for me. I have not settled on a brand. I don't want something that has a "staircase" style, where each shelf is smaller going upwards. Affordability is good.

Recommendations and places to buy are appreciated.

Bello stands are beautiful and very well crafted.... What you want to do is contact Bello by their phone # and ask the Rep to email you their list of distributors/dealers in your area.... Then cold call them to find the best deal.... I found multiple dealers that were selling my particular model for well below the recommended MSRP....

A bit of a headache to try to sort through the sticky on top called "Official Flat Panel furniture thread ", but there are alot of good stands/companies mentioned there.

I would recommend either Bello or BDI as two very quality pieces of furniture. I was originally going to go for the BDI but then found a Bello for less than half the price and was very impressed with the build quality and the looks. I went with this model as it gives a floating shelf illusion at night and is clean and simple.
