OK, I'm in the service mode but I don't see anywhere where I can adjust the grey scale for calibration.

I am entering in the code witht the TV "Off." I read it should be in "Standby" mode before doing this. I'm thinking this may be my problem, if at all.

How do I get the TV in "standby mode?" I've tried unplugging the TV for a few minutes and then plugging it back it but still no light comes on for the "Standby" mode.

Can anyone help on this one? Where do I go to calibrate?

The V3000 series has the grayscale in the user menu ... advanced section.

DOH! I see them now. Every time I went through the advanced settings, I just scrolled past the "White Balance" setting because there was nothing next to it. I thought it was the options below it.

I will recalibrate later tonight. Right now there is too much ambient light in the room...even with the drapes closed.
